The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge enhances the well-being of the community by bringing people of all ages together for enrichment, recreation, and social programs. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and we exist because of donations, sponsorships, and your participation in our programs, events, and preschool activities throughout the year.

ABOUT

The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge’s Thanksgiving Day 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ Mile Run has been a local tradition and a community favorite for over three decades. It is also our biggest fundraiser of the year!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

 We have many opportunities for you to help with the Run and Food Drive including:
  • Hang posters
  • Decorate food drive bins
  • Assemble medals
  • Distribute bibs and t-shirts before race day
  • Set up / clean up
  • Blow up balloons
  • Registration tables
  • Water station
  • Food drive collection table
  • Cheer squad at finish line
  • Distribute kids medals at finish line

FOOD DRIVE

 Drop-Bins from NASA Services will be located at CCLCF, local schools, and select businesses throughout the area starting at the beginning of November.  Please bring your non-perishable canned or boxed goods throughout the month or to Olberz Park on the day of the race.  Food donations will be given to Sue’s Garden in La Crescenta for distribution to local families in need.

BIB PICKUP

Bib and T-shirt pick up is available on Tuesday, November 26th from 9am – 7pm at the Community Center, located at 4469 Chevy Chase Drive in La Canada Flintridge. This is for those who still need to register AND for all registered participants to pick up their t-shirts and race bibs.
Avoid the lines on Thanksgiving morning! Make sure to pick up your bib before race day!

COSTUME CONTEST

 


Join us for our 1st Annual Thanksgiving Run Costume Contest! You do not have to be registered in either of the runs to compete.

Check in at the Costume Contest Booth between 7:45 am and 8:15 am to get your photo taken. Winners will be announce at 9:15 am.
