COMMUNITY CENTER TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR STAGECRAFT INTERNS

April 16, 2024– The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge (CCLCF) is partnering with the LCF Tournament of Roses to offer two internships in stagecraft. CCLCF’s Teen Apprenticeship Program is a hands-on learning experience designed to empower local high school students with practical skills and mentorship opportunities. Stagecraft apprentices will work closely with an experienced stagecraft professional over six Saturdays from 9 am – 12 pm building the sets and props for our production of MEAN GIRLS High School Version. Apprentices will work at the Tournament of Roses workshop and in the Community Center auditorium. In addition to gaining carpentry experience, apprentices will develop life skills in project management, leadership, communication, and professionalism. This program begins Saturday, May 11th and runs through Saturday, June 22nd. Apprentices must be ages 14 – 18. This program is made possible by a grant from the City of La Cañada Flintridge.
