About
Our Glass Program offers an exciting opportunity for students of all levels to explore the art and science of glassmaking in a welcoming community setting. Launched in 2024, the program is the first of its kind in the Foothills region, providing access to hands-on glass education through a growing roster of workshops, classes, and demonstrations. Participants can learn a wide range of techniques—from fusing and slumping to flameworking—while
working with high-quality materials in a safe, well-equipped studio. Rooted in a tradition of craft and experimentation, the program is led by practicing artists and educators who are committed to making glass accessible to all. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced maker, our Glass Program fosters a supportive environment where creativity, curiosity, and technical skill come together. In addition to public classes, the program also offers private group workshops—perfect for team-building, special events, or creative gatherings.

Fusing Program
The CCLCF Glass Fusing Program introduces students to the art of shaping glass through
heat and gravity using kilns. In these hands-on classes, participants learn how to cut, layer, and design with sheet glass, creating everything from colorful coasters and tiles to small sculptural forms and functional pieces. Students are guided through the fundamentals of full fusing, tack fusing, and slumping, while also exploring design principles like color interaction, pattern, and transparency. With an emphasis on creativity and experimentation, the program offers a welcoming space for both beginners and returning students to expand their skills. Classes are taught by experienced instructors and use Bullseye Glass—an industry standard for kilnforming—ensuring high-quality results every time.

Flameworking Program
The Flameworking Program at CCLCF Glass offers a captivating introduction to working
with soft glass at the torch. Using tabletop torches and Italian Effetre (Moretti) glass rods, students learn how to shape molten glass into beads, small sculptures, and other expressive forms. The program emphasizes both safety and creativity, covering flame chemistry, proper tool use, and fundamental techniques such as gathering, shaping, and decorating with color. Whether you’re interested in jewelry or decorative objects, flameworking provides an accessible and hands-on way to explore the beauty and immediacy of glass. All tools and materials are provided, and no prior experience is required—just curiosity and a
willingness to learn.
