Renting the Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge

The Community Center was built in 1949 and has been utilized by community groups and organizations as a place to meet, hold events, and teach classes.

Occupancy: 100-250

The large auditorium has vaulted ceilings, a wood dance floor, curtained stage, a sound system with microphones, and plenty of windows. Can be set up for banquets, theatre-style, or conference configuration. 


Conference Room:

Occupancy: 5-10

Hold your meeting in this stylish, contemporary room featuring a conference table with 8 chairs, 
small sofa, 
projector screen, tile floor, accent chair, and area rug. 

Creative Arts Room:

Occupancy: 30-50

This spacious room gets a lot of natural light. It includes a sink to accommodate art classes, a whiteboard, and a mirrored wall. It’s perfect for Yoga & Mat Pilates classes, board meetings, dance classes, performing arts, seminars, trainings, and committee meetings.

Classroom 1

Occupancy: 10-15

This room is perfect for instructional classes and bridge games. It is furnished with card tables, chairs, and a whiteboard.


Occupancy: 20-200

This fully enclosed courtyard features two basketball hoops, mature trees, and picnic benches. Adjacent to the Auditorium, it gives you the option of an outdoor reception area for your main event.

Rate Information

Non-Profit Rate

Renters may receive the non-profit rate upon providing a copy of their non-profit status documentation.

Commercial Rate

The commercial rate will apply when a renter meets one of more of the following criteria: the renter is charging for the event or class; the renter is selling products or services during the event of class; the renter is generating any type of revenue from the use of the facility.

Long-Term Rentals

The Community Center will consider a discounted fee is the renter is using the facility on an ongoing basis or signs a long-term Facility Rental Agreement.

About Renting the Community Center

  1. CCLCF programs and classes have priority over all other scheduled events. 
  2. All rates are hourly. 
  3. There is a 2-hour minimum on all rentals. 
  4. Rental time begins when you plan to show up for set-up and ends after you are done with clean-up and leave the facility. 
  5. Capacity allowance subject to change by CCLCF. 
  6. CCLCF Kitchen is not available to renters. 
  7. Jump houses are not allowed. 
  8. Renters must sign and abide by a Facility Rental Agreement. Any breaches in the Agreement will result in CCLCF voiding the Agreement. Classes
    taught by renters may not compete with current or potential classes within the
    scope of Community Center programming. We invite art, music, dance, and sports
    instructors to submit a proposal to become an independent contractor with us.
  9. There is a $20/hour on-site event supervisor fee added to all events held on weekends and after 5 PM.
  10. A cleaning/damage deposit of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) is required to hold the reservation and is refunded upon satisfactory clean-up, if all policies and requirements are followed, and if there is no damage to the facility or equipment. 
  11. Renters will be charged for any damage resulting from the Renter’s use. 
  12. Renters are responsible for all set-up and tear-down of items/furniture used during the event, unless otherwise contracted. 
  13. Renters shall not interfere with regularly scheduled Community Center programs and classes. 
  14. CCLCF may add an additional $100 janitorial fee if the type of event so deems it necessary. 
  15. CCLCF reserves the right to increase the rental prices. 
  16. Renters will need to provide a Certificate of Insurance to cover their event. 
  17. CCLCF blocks rooms approximately 3-6 months in advance for our programming. Past rentals do not guarantee the same day/time will be available.
