Ceramics

Welcome to CCLCF Ceramics!

We are a nonprofit community studio in operation for over 50 years here at the Community Center of La Canada Flintridge in the beautiful, San Gabriel Valley. Our Mission in the Ceramics Department is to create a creative, fun and collaborative environment where students can learn and experiment with Clay. Our students receive comprehensive instruction along with independent work time to build their knowledge of Ceramic process and techniques. There is no experience necessary or required so join us, get your hands dirty and have some fun!

Our Ceramic Art program runs year-round with classes offered for Adults and Youth. Class curriculum typically includes hand-building, slip work, Wheel throwing, and glazing processes. Firing and glazing of pieces produced in the studio are included in the class fee. Classes are between six and eight weeks long and fill up fast so early registration is highly recommended.

Our studio has 12 pottery wheels, plenty of table space for hand building and a wide array of Cone 10 glazes. We have two slab rollers, extruders, a spray booth, three kilns for bisque firing and two gas kilns for cone 10 reduction glaze firing. Clay and tools can be purchased at the Studio or online

Registration for our Fall I Ceramics Session is open now!
