Program Manager

The Community Center of La Cañada Flintridge is seeking a Program Manager to join our team.

DESCRIPTION The Program Manager will develop, market, maintain and execute program related activities at the Community Center for all ages and provide a forward-facing connection point for all program instructors, participants and their families. They will also work alongside the Executive Director to support planning, logistics and operations of our events and fundraisers throughout the year and will work to build lasting relationships within our community.



  • Development of recreational and educational programming for Youth, Adult and Senior age groups.
  • Coordinate and schedule dates, times and facility locations for multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Daily management of program operations and impacts.
  • Program budget and expense management.
  • Management of registrations and customer transactions through registration software (CivicRec).
  • Hire, manage and coordinate all independent contract and staff instructors including camp counselors and volunteers.
  • Maintain and develop program policies, documentation and safety procedures.
  • Support the development and operation of special events and fundraisers throughout the year.
  • Flexible scheduling and availability on some nights and weekends for special events including Thanksgiving morning.

Customer Service:

  • Forward-facing customer service, engagement, and communication.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and daily communications with customers, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Data entry in multiple platforms including, Microsoft Office 365, and Civic Rec (Rec1) registration software.
  • Drafting email and written correspondence with customers, instructors, volunteers, and vendors.


  • Manage Marketing Coordinator
  • Supervise the creation of marketing materials including print, email, website, and social media.
  • Create and maintain marketing schedules and strategic plans.


  • 2+ year’s experience in Program Management, Parks and Recreation, or related fields.
  • Team-oriented and able to write and communicate clearly. 
  • Works well with limited supervision and has excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and marketing principles.
  • Proficiency with basic computer processes, software, and web-based platforms including Microsoft, Adobe, Facebook, Instagram, and WordPress.
  • Able to learn new processes, set goals, and prioritize tasks.
  • Applicant must pass a background check including LiveScan.

Camp Counselor

CCLCF is seeking knowledgeable, reliable, patient, and enthusiastic Camp Counselors for our Summer Camp Program. We are looking for youth program leaders who have a passion for working with and educating kids.

DESCRIPTION This is a part-time position needed from June – August. Counselors will work as a team to lead our Campers through our weekly camp sessions. They will work within a theme and build fun, safe and exciting programming for campers aged 5-10 years old. Counselors should be good leaders, highly organized and observant and have experience working or volunteering in a camp or community program setting.


  • High School Diploma or the equivalent
  • Must be of 18 years of age
  • Background Check
  • Possession of a valid First Aid & CPR Certificate is required within 30 days of hire.
  • Passionate about working with kids.
  • Volunteer or paid work experience with children is desirable.
  • Knowledge and adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols is a must.
